reversathon assignment ever. All in all, a pretty good weekend--though if any of my other siblings decide to get married in Las Vegas on less than a month's notice, there will be dire consequences indeed.
- Fifty+ hours in the car with my parents.
- Attempting to drive while five backseat drivers all gave me contradictory advice.
- Missing a Backstreet Boys concert.
- All this for a wedding that lasted exactly half an hour.
The good:
- Fifty+ hours in the car with my younger sisters.
- Driving through Colorado was awesome. Lovely landscapes, and the most fun mountains I've driven on to date.
- Seeing my brothers for the first time in a year and a half. The demonstrative one was cuddly and affectionate and wrestled with me, and the other one allowed me to hug him three times and kiss him once.
- Being the official witness for the marriage, with the signing of documents and everything. (I still can't get over it; my brother asked me last minute, and I'm so proud and happy that he'd want me to fill that role for him.)
- My baby brother's married! He was so handsome and adult, and my new sister-in-law was beautiful, and I maybe cried a bit from joy.

3400 miles round-trip...longer, actually, because there was a snowstorm in the northwest while we were out there, and we had to dip down into Kansas on the return. And that's just for the second leg of the journey; my parents and youngest sister had to drive for seventeen hours to reach my other sisters and me out here in the Midwest.
Speaking of which, there are six of us: me, two brothers, and three sisters. As with my mini-vacation, being part of a large family had its good points and its bad points, but the good definitely won out. (Especially now that the youngest is fifteen. Much less screaming and hair-pulling now that most of us are adults.)

"Happy" is a bit of an understatement. I've a story idea prodding at me already that I'm very excited about. Thanks so much for assigning me the perfect request!
