I'd been crossing my fingers that I'd make the cut and could let gmth do all the hard work of a fic exchange for the second year in a row (as she will be doing, of course, just not for me), but it seems that that's not meant to be. So, since my desire to participate in a HP Secret Santa trumps my need to sleep in the week preceding Christmas...

Did you get a nice scarf, even if not a nice new president? I hope it arrived in time to assuage some of the pain at least.

Sorry about the disappearing act. The scarf arrived, and it's gorgeous. I called my mother immediately after receiving it to tell her that she need to learn how to knit the way you did it, without any edges or seams along its length. Thank you enormously; I love it and greatly apprciate the time and effort you put into it.

It's just knit in the round with the edges sewn together. Easy! I'm so glad you got/liked it. Wear in good health, and better luck to the Democrats in '08! -mmwd
