Thanks to everyone who recommended stories here. I've included all of the recs except for the self-pimped stories, in which case I included the ones that I've seen recced elsewhere. I also made the somewhat arbitrary decision to set a limit of no more than four stories by any one author, to keep the list from becoming unwieldy. Authors who've written additional stories for one or more of these pairings have links to their websites.

I made an effort to warn for very sensitive topics, but I might have missed a few stories. Corrections, comments, and suggestions are all welcome.

*laughs* Just as a heads up (and because good press is anyone's friend), I'm the Andrea in question for the author of Relics. I totally did a double-take when I saw myself listed as Andrea, which proves I need to get off of LJ more.

Oh, and if you're interested in self-pimping (I'm not certain if that's all right or not), you may want to add idiotparade and my novel: Anger Management (http://www.skyehawke.com/archive/story.php?no=1467). *laughs* You might want to warn for the long (it's somewhere in the neighbourhood of 130,000+ words, IIRC) if you do list it. If not, no problem.

Thanks for letting me know. I loved Relics when I first read it and was disappointed that the author seemed to drop off the face of fandom directly afterwards; it's good to know that you're still around. :)

The line I've been taking with self-pimping thus far is that I'll include the story if I've seen it recommended elsewhere. I've certainly seen Anger Management recced by several people, so (barring any unforeseen complications) I should be adding it to the recs list as soon as I've had a chance to read it over myself, hopefully within the next few days.
