Pairings and the Revolution

Amongst all this pimping of TrickC stories, it occurred to me that, despite the fact that it's my favorite of the 'N Sync pairings, I've never completed a Chris/JC story.

In fact, I've never written a single story slashing any of my favorite pairings. Some of the pairings I've written have become my favorites since the time that I wrote the stories (Howie/Brian; Howie/JC), and others had been my favorites previously but fell out of favor before I wrote the stories, but I've never sat down and completed a slash story about my favorite pairing*.

Which, considering the dearth of stories for some of those pairings, is not a very good tactical move on my part. So far as I know there's a grand total of eight Howie/JC stories** out there--one of them mine--and nearly as few Howie/Brian***. The situation's even worse in a couple of media fandoms that I follow: I've only been able to find one Spike/Oz story, and no Remus/Draco at all.


*Starting a slash story about my favorite pairing is a whole 'nother thing; I have a number of stories in progress for pairings that were my favorites at the time that I began them--including a Chris/JC and a couple of Howie/Brians and Howie/JCs--but God knows if I'll ever finish any of them.

It's so disheartening to have one of your favourite pairings so unloved. Me, I'm a JC/Howie girl, through and through. I've only managed to write a couple of drabbles with these boys, but I'm currently in the middle of trying to finish an actual fic.

Thank you so much for the linkage... I can't believe I'd never read "Can't See."

I'll admit I was more than a little thrilled when Pet chose my x-over pairing for the dwnoga this year. There really needs to be more of (what I have semi-unofficially dubbed) "the pairing that gets no love. none." Because, honestly. Look at the two of them. :) So pretty.

Oh, and in appreciation of the linkage, I've e-mailed you something, hope you enjoy.

Thank you so much! I had read "Caramel and Cream" before, but of course it was gone by the time I was compiling Howie/JC links--just when I most wanted to reacquaint myself with the few stories written for the pairing. It's absolutely wonderful to be able to read it again.

And I'm very excited to hear that you're working on a Howie/JC story yourself; I can't wait to see it.
