Breaking another long bout of radio silence, this time with a poll. I've also got some fic waiting in the wings (apparently the last time I posted fic on my journal was in July); I'm just trying to decide whether I'm going to post the stories physically to DW/LJ or point to them on the AO3 or possibly both. If you have a preference for one of those options, be sure to fill out the next-to-last question on the poll. HEY IF YOU'RE WATCHING TVD I ALSO DEMAND YOU WRITE FIC FOR IT.

i think the best argument i've seen for why one should watch southland is here. i watched a few episodes but personally couldn't hang because i just don't like my entertainment that oppressive. i'm too easily affected by it and i can get depressed. but that's a very personal perspective on it; the show is still objectively excellent and i do wish that i could hang with it.

I just started watching TVD yesterday; it was pretty awesome, but I need to watch more than one episode before I start thinking about writing fic. :-)

And thanks for pointing out that post. I'm not sure if Southland will end up being one of the shows I watch, for somewhat the same reason that you don't watch it, but I'm definitely feeling inspired to give it another try.

i just mainlined the entire season in a few days. which is somewhat overwhelming, considering how much happens in one episode. but i am a bit in love and desperately trying to track down good fic.
