So, remix sign-ups theoretically end tomorrow, and those following along have probably noticed that we have a bit of a problem. A small number of participants is absolutely fine by me, but ideally I'd like at least five or six...which is two or three more than we currently have. (For anyone who's on the fence about whether or not to participate, I'd really appreciate it if you did. It'll be lots of fun! Remixes are a blast to write! We're really cool, and we'd love to have you come play with us! )
The three of us currently participating in the challenge are fairly flexible people, and I'm open to suggestions on how I might extend that flexibility to others who are interested but aren't able to sign up for whatever reason.
With that in mind, would extending sign ups for another week or two help (hopefully getting us past finals week and giving any interested students and teachers some free time to write the stories they need to qualify)?
How about changing the requirements from three 500 word stories in a single Jdrama fandom to three 400 word stories...or even three 250 word stories?
At the possible risk of creating an administrative nightmare, are there any people who'd be interested who've written at least three Jdrama stories in different fandoms, but who I might be able to match with people who can write in enough of those fandoms that the remixers would still have at least three stories that they'd be capable of remixing?
Do you have a better and more brilliant suggestion that I haven't been able to come up with on my own?
If you're interested in this exchange and think that one of the above proposals would allow you to participate, please comment and let me know. (And, in case none of this helps the situation, Ilana and Pero, how do you guys feel about doing a remix challenge with only three participants?)
