Oh, that's an excellent idea! I wouldn't say depressing films are the only ones I've ever seen about queer characters, but I did see plenty of them, sometimes where you really don't expect it anymore. If I never stumble into a film where the lesbian main character throws herself off a roof, it'll be too soon. So, yay for a comm for recs!
