I'm safe! The spider that had been spinning a web above my bed came back to the same spot to do it again, and I used the paper/cup trick and put it outside. (I had to stand on my soup pot to reach it.) Flush with that success, I came back and noticed that the other spider was spinning a web between my window and the stormwindow, so I carefully opened the window and captured it, as well.
Then I came back from disposing of the second spider and started to dust away the cobwebs in my window, only to find yet another spider. Luckily, this one was only an inch in diameter rather than two inches, so it wasn't too scary, even though it was twice as fast as the other two. It's outside now, too.
I swear, I'm going to start squishing the motherfuckers if they don't let up.
