It's been over a week since Slash, Sparkle, Pop!, an automated archive for popslash stories, was completed, and so far the only story there is my own. I'll admit that I have some selfish reasons for wanting the archive to succeed: I read a lot of boyband slash, and having an easily searchable archive would really help me to track down particular stories. It would also prevent the loss of archived stories should an author's personal website go down for any reason.

However, I realize that it's a lot of extra work for an author to convert a story file into text format and fill out the posting form. So, for every archived story, I'll donate one dollar to Artists Against AIDS Worldwide (not to exceed $75 a month; I'm a barista at Starbucks with thousands of dollars worth of student loans, and I already give 10% of my income to Garden Voices and a few other organizations.)

I hope to see you all posting!
