Sign-ups for the
3_ships challenge are open through November 15th. For anyone who wasn't on my friendslist when I talked about it two years ago, it's a multifandom, threesome fic exchange run by
zvi_likes_tv. It's traditionally been a small-ish challenge, but a good one, and if you like threesomes (as many of us do), then it's especially exciting.
Previous years have featured a lot of Harry Potter, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who and Firefly, but you can offer and/or request any fandom you like...though of course the chances of finding a match for rarer fandoms get better the more people sign up. I'm personally hoping some more jdrama and animanga people sign up. (Nobuta wo Produce is perfect for a threesome challenge, as are Hana-Kimi and Hana Yori Dango and Samurai Champloo and pretty much anything with either a close group of three friends or a love triangle.)
Fair warning: though I've received wonderful stories in my requested fandoms the two years I've participated (Saiyuki last year and Hikaru no Go in 2006), both years I was assigned to write in some of my past fandoms (Harry Potter and Stargate Atlantis) since there weren't any requests for my current fandoms. Even a small number of jdrama, animanga, j-pop, k-pop, etc. participants could really change the face of the challenge, though.
As additional encouragement, the deadline for stories isn't until December 29th, well after most of the other holiday exchanges, which might make it easier for a lot of you to participate. If you have any further questions, I'm happy to answer them; this is my third-favorite annual challenge (after Yuletide and Remix), and I'd love the chance to get other people excited and involved.
