Remix assignments have gone out! And I managed to guess the person I'd be assigned correctly. This is slightly less impressive when you consider that my top three choices for fandoms to remix were Nobuta wo Produce, Hikaru no Go, and Saiyuki, and I was the only participant with five qualifying stories in Nobuta and HnG. (Which makes me a little sad; there really should be a j-dramas remix challenge sometime soon.)
I still haven't quite finished updating my website; I really need to get moving on that. I have, however, reposted enough of my stories that I'm no longer embarrassed at the thought of unlocking my 2007 stories round-up post. Thirty-six stories in a total of sixteen fandoms, assuming that all the JE stories count as one fandom. That's far and away more productive than any other writing year for me. (Yes, I know it's not all that much, especially in comparison to some of the writers on my flist, but I'm a student and I'm lazy. All things considered, I'm pretty pleased with this number.) Hopefully this coming year I can do even better.
(If the person assigned to me for Remix is reading this and thinks she might be interested in remixing one of the stories I haven't yet gotten up on my website: I promise to have them up within the next...say, four days. I'm really sorry that my website's not already updated; I've been busy with a combination of school, covering shifts for sick coworkers, and writing Nobuta stories [since I, um, signed up with that as a qualifying fandom before I technically had my five stories written].)
And, in an attempt to shame myself into actually getting stuff done, my list of Things I Really, Really Need to Do Today:
* Update with at least two more stories.
* Respond to feedback.
* Feedback the half a dozen stories that I've enjoyed in silence.
* Do a load of laundry.
* Fold the two loads of clean laundry that have been sitting around in the basket/hanging on the drying rack for the past week.
* Get started on the essay due next Friday.
* Exercise.
* Write Uchi porn. (Assuming I complete the first seven items on this list.)
* Bake almond cookies. (Ditto.)
