See, this is the utterly fabulous thing about slash-- it then gets into everything else you see/read, to some degree or other. Makes it much more interesting, too. The best example of this is when Sarah (my best friend growing up) and I went to see her sister's sixth-grade play. Which was unbelievably boring, or would have been, if we hadn't decided that the heroine and second female lead were having an affair. Much improved the play. We found lots of things to point to, also.

I haven't read the Chosen in a while, but I bet it's there.

Dead Poet's Society, too.
