Ok. Not speaking for anyone else, however, for me there is a big, huge, gigantic difference between wearing revealing clothing and being a "Hootchie." I don't wear that kind of clothing because I'm not comfortable in it at my current weight, but I know if/when I hit size twelve, I'll be back into tanks and half shirts and small skirts and all that jazz.

In my mind that won't make me a hootchie. Because Hootcie is all about the attitude of "If I dress like this, I'll get the attention and get back stage and get them to hit on me and sleep with me." The two girls standing next to me trying to talk up local security and hit on the guy with a VIP guest badge and pawing at Anthony when he came, drinking heavily before and during the show and carrying the "JC, TOUCH ME" sign... those were hootchies.

The girls a row behind me who were in the same type of clothing but made no effort to catch anyone's attention and seemed to be dressed like that because they happened to look on the concert as a chance to get out and dress up and hang out with each other... no hootchies.

Personally, I wasn't flashing any skin for two reasons... I feel like I have too much of it and it's not a pretty sight when I put on tight clothes... and I was coming straight from work thus had no chance to head home to change into something that was less than appropriate for my receptionist lifestyle.

So yes... Clothing does not a hootchie make. It's all about the "look at me, look at me, sleep with me" attitude.
