I saw the movie last week and, like most of the people on my flist, loved it to pieces. So much excellence contained within two hours of film! I even loved Kirk, which I did not believe would happen to me ever. The upswelling of fic produced in the past couple of weeks has been awesome, too, especially since several of my favorite authors are writing in the fandom.
And I've also been writing: a Kirk/McCoy ficlet for the Journey to Drabble challenge and a longer story that I'll be posting soon. My usual beta reader hasn't seen the movie yet, though, so would anyone be willing to volunteer their services? The story's 7500 words, NC-17 rated for het sex, with the pairings Kirk/Uhura, Spock/Uhura, and Spock/McCoy.
