If you've been assigned to me for a fic exchange, here's the rather long list of my general likes and dislikes. Please think of these as suggestions rather than guidelines; if the following information is useful to you and helps spark your creativity, that's excellent. Otherwise, feel free to ignore this post and write the story that you're burning to write, and I'll do my best to love and appreciate it. Caveat scriptor: if your story includes breathplay, cannibalism, scat (in a sexual context), vomit (ditto), or unexamined racism or misogyny, then I might not read it.

Post last updated on 7 January 2017.

Kinks/likes: happy (or at least hopeful) endings, family (either biological or chosen), friendship, loyalty, determination, cooking and/or eating, people being smart, people being competent, platonic bedsharing, non-platonic bedsharing, pining, unrequited love that turns out to be requited, hurt/comfort, kissing, masturbation, mutual masturbation, frottage, intercrural sex, oral sex, talking during sex (not dirty talk, just ordinary conversation), first-time fic, established relationship fic in which there's some sort of shift in the dynamics of the relationship, character- and relationship-driven gen, mild angst with an eventual happy ending, threesomes, pegging (especially m/f; not so into it for f/f), BDSM (with a male sub for m/f), watersports, worldbuilding, cultural differences, backstory, missing scenes, future fic, third person POV, past tense

General squicks/dislikes: breathplay/asphyxiation, foodsmut, vore/cannibalism, bloodplay, knifeplay, gunplay, suspension, scat, vomit, character-bashing, unexamined misogyny and racism, "on-screen" character death, heavy angst, parent-child incest, teacher-student relationships, everyone-is-gay syndrome, everyone-paired-off fic, bad grammar and spelling, dialogue-only fic, no dialogue, epithets (e.g. the blonde, the taller man, the hacker), the phrases "to his [or her] credit," "had the grace to," and "took him[self] in hand," PWPs, crackfic, unsafe sex (except in historical or fantasy fandoms), zombies, road trips, muses, soulmates, omegaverse, first person POV, second person POV

Squicks/dislikes with a "bad guy" exception (i.e. things that bother me when done by the protagonists): torture, abuse, betrayal, non-con/rape, dubcon, sexual coercion, infidelity/cheating
